Wotiz Gallery: Paintings by Artist Karl Pastore In-Person
During the month of September the Milton Public Library will host the work of local talented artist Karl Pastore in the Wotiz Gallery.
This exhibit, titled “Milton, Massachusetts and Beyond,” will display watercolor landscapes including Milton scenes, state and national parks landscapes, as well as a smaller selection of abstracts and graphite renderings.
Karl is a Milton based artist who has taken up watercolor painting since retiring from Massachusetts State Parks (DCR) in 2020.
Here’s what Karl has to say about his art:
“Like a lot of retired people, I feel blessed to now have time, in my case, to pursue creating art. Subjects for paintings are literally everywhere. The challenge is to interpret them so that they convey meaning and emotion to the viewer. I’m constantly striving to improve my art. My methods include, studying the watercolor masters (Sargent, Homer, etc), challenging myself to attempt something new in my paintings and, engaging with other artists. One would be amazed to see how many talented artists there are in Milton alone."
Karl is a member of the Milton Art Center, PAMM (Provincetown Art Association and Museum), the Artist Network and a founding member of the local art group, the Blue Hills Bohemians. Karl has previously had exhibits at the Wotiz Gallery, is currently exhibiting at PAMM, and has an upcoming exhibit at Winthrop Library.
We welcome everyone to come and view Karl's paintings in our first floor gallery.
