Virtual talk from the Great Trials that Changed History Series: "The Trial of Leopold and Loeb - Inside the Criminal Mind"

Virtual talk from the Great Trials that Changed History Series: "The Trial of Leopold and Loeb - Inside the Criminal Mind" Online

The retired Honorable Judge Dennis J. Curran will give another interesting talk - this time via Zoom - from his "Great Trials" series.  The topic for this evening will be "The Trial of Leopold and Loeb: Inside the Criminal Mind."

This sensational case arose out of the murder of a 14-year old boy, Bobby Franks, in a tony suburb of Chicago.  The nation's attention was riveted by this tragedy, and decades of study have been focused on how and why two sons of privilege and wealth committed this utterly heinous and completely unnecessary murder.  Some say they did it "for the sheer thrill of it;" others maintain psychological factors were at work.  What is your opinion?

Advance registration is required to receive the Zoom link, so please sign up here and you will receive it right before the presentation.  You will also receive one reminder notice before the program.

This program is kindly sponsored by the Friends of the MPL and is free and open to all, although may not be suitable for young children.  We hope to see you there!
