Women's Clothing & Accessory Swap In-Person
On Saturday, April 12, at 10am, the Friends of the Milton Library will host our third annual Clothing Swap event in the Keys Room on the lower level of the Library.
By swapping, we keep items with "plenty of life left" in our community and out of landfills or textile recycling bins. To keep the process manageable, this swap will focus only on women's items.
Here's how it works:
- Register in advance! Registration is required and will open two weeks prior to the event.
- Starting at 10am on Swap Day, participants bring 5 to 10 items to the Keys Room, and with the help of volunteers, place them in the appropriate well-marked sections: tops, bottoms, dresses, outerwear, and accessories. We will need a few minutes to set up the room. While you wait you can peruse the Friends Book Shop.
- At 10:30am, swappers can start shopping for the same number of items you brought.
To make this event a success, we ask you to bring ONLY items that you would give to a friend.
No shoes, no items that are stained, torn or requiring repair.
Any items left over will be taken by a volunteer and donated to Interfaith Social Services Bureau Drawer thrift shop.
