"The Unique Planning Needs of Solo Agers" with the Milton Council on Aging Online

This will be a virtual program which is part of a 5-part series about Solo Aging, sponsored jointly by the Milton Council on Aging and the Milton Public Library.

The Milton COA is thrilled to announce this partnership to bring you a 5-part series on the "Unique Needs of Solo Agers," with Ailene Gerhardt, MA, BCPA, CSA Independent Board-Certified Patient Advocate (bcpa) and Solo Aging Educator and Advocate.  Research tells us: 27% of U.S households have one person who lives alone; 36% of "Baby Boomers" live in single-person households; and 30% of respondents in a Pew Research survey with children would prefer not to involve them in their care as they age.

Workshops will meet on Zoom for five sessions from January 16, 2025 through February 27, 2025 (1/16, 1/30, 2/6, 2/20 and 2/27) on Thursday evenings from 7-8 PM.

Registration is open to all.

The topic to be covered this evening is: "Health Care Decision Making and the Value of Advance Care Planning."

Funding for the program is through a grant from the Massachusetts Council on Aging.  There is no charge to participate.  We ask those who register to make a commitment to try and attend most of the workshops.

Questions:  call the Milton Council on Aging at: (617) 898-4893.  We hope you will join us!
